Phoenix: Live Love Laugh

Saint Lucia is an Eastern Caribbean island nation with a pair of dramatically tapered mountains, the Pitons, on its west coast. Its coast is home to volcanic beaches, reef-diving sites, luxury resorts and fishing villages. Trails in the interior rainforest lead to waterfalls like the 15m-high Toraille, which pours over a cliff into a garden. The capital, Castries, is a popular cruise port.

Many times the question is asked to me, why would you come live in America when you were born on a tropical island? Well, when you are 16 years old you are not given a choice or a voice. The American culture shock was no picnic or welcoming mat and took me years to adjust to the point I now have to refer to the United States of America my second home. My friends and family think I don’t like my home country but that is really not the case. Being in America a county where every state is probably 2-3 times the size on my country makes getting around terrifying, I have changed and so have the country and my friends, I have elevated my personal growth, my travel needs have changed. I enjoy new and different countries, foods, cultures and experiences. Finances and vacations does not permit all this and my birth place. So my choices are now a home visit yearly or experiences new and different experiences each year. I encourage everyone I meet to visit because it will be an experience of a life time.

Carnival in St Lucia: St Lucia’s Carnival is a vibrant, energetic celebration of costumes, music and culture that evolved from this Caribbean island’s mixture of Catholic and African heritage. July is our carnival season, so in support of all my friends and family going home to enjoy this is my tribute and celebration.

My visit always begin from my airport pick up till I make it to the home destination. It never fails to get off the plane and to began an adventure the moment you clear through customs.
