Living my life… because it's GOLDEN!!

Reclaiming Your Worth: No One Gets to Dim Your Light

One of my all-time favorite quotes is by Eleanor Roosevelt:
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”

This simple yet powerful truth reminds us that you hold the power to define your own worth—no matter what others think, say, or assume. It’s easy to question yourself sometimes; after all, self-doubt is part of the human experience. But when those uncertain moments arise, that’s exactly when you need to ground yourself in truth.

You are not here to shrink for the comfort of others.
You are not defined by their projections or opinions.

When criticism or negativity creeps in, it can feel overwhelming. But those voices only carry weight if you give them permission. Owning your self-worth means standing tall in who you are—acknowledging your strengths, your resilience, and all the good that lives within you. It means remembering that you are deserving of happiness, peace, and the finer joys of life simply because you exist.

Even on the days when you struggle to believe it, let this truth settle in your soul:
You are inherently worthy.

Let that self-awareness be your anchor. Let it hold you steady when life gets heavy. Your value isn’t up for debate—and no one can diminish your light unless you allow it.

So walk boldly. Speak kindly to yourself. And carry your worth like armor.
Because the world needs your light—and only you can keep it shining.

About Me

I LIVE LOVE LAUGH LEARN – the only way I know how to survive this life! I am a free-spirited, independent, or uninhibited person. I began this blogging journey years ago for sharing my thoughts on everyday life. Since then, so much has happened including me being in a coma because of Sickle Cell with brain damage and extreme trials in life. I am still struggling, but I feel someone can be motivated through my journey, thoughts, feelings, and life.
