Living my life… because it's GOLDEN!!

Walking through the storm

“Keep walking through the storm… your rainbow is waiting on the other side.”

Today’s thought hit me hard: as difficult as this situation has been — and still is — I have to keep walking. I have to keep pushing through this storm.
No one ever tells you how long a storm will last. No one hands you a guidebook on what to do while you’re stuck in it. You just have to figure it out — step by uncertain step — and hold tightly to the one thing that never changes: faith.

It’s easy to lose heart when the rain keeps falling, when the winds keep howling, and when every step forward feels heavy. But there’s a truth I can’t let go of:
There cannot be sunshine without rain.
And sometimes, it’s only after we’ve endured the storm that we truly understand how beautiful the sunshine is.

This season has also opened my eyes to a painful but necessary truth:
I gave so much of myself—my time, my energy, my encouragement-to people who were never willing to do the same. I spent years crossing oceans for those who wouldn’t even step over a puddle for me.
But not anymore.

Now, I see clearly.
Now, I know I am surrounded by people who would hold my hand and cross oceans with me, not because they have to, but because they choose to.

And I choose to focus on them.
I choose to keep my heart open, but wiser.
I choose to let the storm shape me, not harden me.

As the Word reminds us:
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9

So today, I keep walking.
I keep believing.
Because my rainbow is waiting — and I’m not about to miss it.
